Wash Up & Brush Co!

This is the logo I did for Wash Up & Brush Co!, a boutique full of delightful baubles at Broadview and Danforth. It also happens to be where Amy works. Slap her a five if you happen to swing by.

Fathers of Mayhem

A lotta my friends is havin' babies! This is a coat-of-arms for 2 in particular. What evolved as I made it was that the baby boys began to look like what I imagined the fathers looked like as children.

The Whippersnapper Show: Jan 9th

So I'm in! At first only "The Shrine..." got in but the folks at Whippersnapper were kind enough to allow me to enter a batch of mini pieces which have turned out to be delightful. I dropped them off at the gallery last night and it is an intimidating honour to be exhibiting with the other artists in this group show. WEDNESDAY JAN 9TH WHIPPERSNAPPER GALLERY 587E COLLEGE ST TORONTO (Hercules shown here. All pieces under 5"x5". Spray paint and marker on acrylic.

The Shrine of the Turkey Tenth

The Patrol Herd

The Nursery

The Contessa Eel

The Buddy System

So the submission is in. Lars got deep-sixed. He just wasn't the same quality as the ones to follow. All of the pieces, except The Shrine of the Turkey Tenth which is on a found wooden tray, are marker on spray paint on acquired acrylic (my roommates dad was an artist who often made light boxes and other plexiglas art. Our apartment is festooned with idle acrylic).

Lars

Here's one piece that I'll be submitting to Whippersnapper's next group show. Fingers crossed. (Ink and white-out on the coating on acrylic. Coating was then scored.)

These are a few cards I made for some friends who need some extra strength.

aquack-man

rouge devil

So I'm semi-jobless again. It was almost 4 years of near bliss. It stands to reason that the ending of the job, though slightly untimely, will be the beginning of a very amazing and grueling period of development. Is it time to reject the 9 - 5? We'll soon see.

minerva's valet

Though he spoke in a very reassuring tone, minerva had no idea what he was saying.
